Resort World Genting gets ready for the Christmas and New Year season

Do you have any plans for your year-end holidays with your love ones during the Christmas and New Year season?

If you have not made any plans yet or are leaving it to the last minute, why not head for Resorts World Genting this festive season.

In conjunction with Christmas and New Year, a wide range of activities and celebrations have been lined up. They include performances by Arrival from Sweden (an ABBA tribute band), the international Diablo championship, The Glitz and Doraemon at First World Plaza (FWP).

From 19 December until 1 January, FWP’s shopping hours will be extended on Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of public holidays until 1am.

To top the list of the activities, Abba’s tribute band, Arrival from Sweden will be performing to relive the hits of ABBA this Christmas at the Arena of the Stars on 25-26 December at 8 pm.

ABBA, the Swedish pop group that took the world by storm in the 70s, continues to lure millions of young and old fans to their infectious feel-good songs through films (Muriel's Wedding, Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) and the Broadway musical and recent film hit Mama Mia!

In an interview with the Associated Press, songwriter Bjorn Ulvaeus had said that ABBA would never do a reunion tour. "Money is not a factor and we would like people to remember us as we were. That’s when we were young, exuberant, full of energy and ambitious."

ABBA's music is able to close the generation gap between the young and old as ABBA records, tapes, CDs, VCDs and DVD have sold over 350million copies to date and still keep growing.
